WTF Is AI

The gentle Friday on-ramp for career women and freelancers who keep hearing about AI and have no idea where to start.

— send this to a friend.

No jargon. No tech-bro energy. Same shape every time — built so you can forward it to a friend, your sister, your old boss, and they land somewhere predictable. We start from "what even is Claude" and end with one small thing you can try before Monday.

Every time, same shape

The same gentle 55 minutes, mixed up.

i.

What Claude actually is

And how it's different from Google. We name the thing in plain English. No "LLM," no "transformer," no buzzwords.

ii.

A real example

One use case from the week, explained from scratch. Usually something a friend tried that worked — or didn't.

iii.

Open Q&A

"What's a prompt?" is a great question here. So is "is it stealing?" and "will it lie to me?" Bring everything.

iv.

One thing to try

Before Monday morning. Tiny, doable, low-stakes. You leave with one concrete experiment, not a homework list.

FAQ

A few gentle answers.

I've literally never used Claude or ChatGPT. Will I be lost?
No — this is exactly the session for you. We start from "open the website, here's what you see." Zero prep required. No account needed to attend.
Is this a sales pitch?
No. Free forever, no upsell during the session. I do this because it's how I learn what people actually need.
What if I'm scared of AI / think it's bad?
Bring that. The session has room for "I'm worried about jobs," "I'm worried about my kids," "I'm worried about the planet." These are good questions. We talk about them honestly, not defensively.
What if I can chat with Claude already?
Then this one's too gentle for you. Try WTF Is Building With AI (the alternating Friday) or Show & Tell on Wednesdays.
Is it recorded?
Yes. Recordings go to newsletter subscribers after each session. You can catch up anytime — or just come to the next one, since the shape repeats.
Will you make me turn my camera on?
Never. Cameras off is the default. Lurkers welcome. Chat is fine. You don't have to say a word.
see you Friday —
